MagpiesThe summer sun was hot – hotter than he remembered it. Actually, it was only spring, wasn’t it? Not quite time for summer yet. Even then, the weather was starting to bother him remotely. At least it was better than Winter.Magpies by YuPuffin
Alma chuckled just a little at the thought. The mere inkling of another season was enough to cool him off a bit. Not that he disliked the sun at all – it was just tiring after it had been beaming down on the earth for several days straight. The ground was beginning to grow dry beneath his bare feet, and its prickles irritated their soles slightly.
He stood under a spindly tree and glanced briefly up at the sky. A few white, wispy clouds hung around the horizon, but looked wary to get any closer to their fiery adversary. Evidently they believed the season had already changed.
Alma’s eyes then flicked back to the brown-and-green underbrush. It all seemed so tiny and stunted, despite the overabundance of light. Just thinking about it would have m

The cafeteria was quickly growing fuller and fuller. Not with potential players, but with hungry people wanting to eat. “I think we had better hurry this along, we're going to start annoying people pretty soon.” Lavi walked up to you and pulled you up to the now almost completely empty box of items. “Good luck, I hope all those items don't overwhelm you.”
“Me too, there's just so much to choose from. I don't know how I'll ever decide” Because the box was so empty, you wasted no time and simply grabbed the first thing your fingers touched. It was a hat, much like Komui's, but black. “Hey Bak Chan, I got your hat.”
Bak stood to his feet, looking a little disappointed that it was you who retrieved his item. “Indeed you do. Well then, let's get this game started, shall we?” Stopping only long enough to take his hat from you, Bak quickly made his way to the supply closet and waited for you to join him.

You walk to the center of the dining hall to pick an item from the box. The amount of items inside made you think twice about analyzing every single thing you touched. "This is a lot of stuff." You decided to just grab something to speed things up. You pulled out a small super hero action figure. "Um, I'm not really sure who this might belong to. Sorry."
Krory shyly stood up from the cafeteria seats and walked over to you. "It's mine, It helps remind me of my mission as an exorcist. It keeps me strong and focused." He gave you a toothy smile and took your hand in his. "So, I guess we head to the supply closet then huh?"
"Yup, you two only have seven minutes, so you'd better get moving." Lavi nudged you both in the direction of the closet. "Hurry up now." You and Krory went inside the closet and found a place to sit. "See you two in seven, and Krory, try not to get too feisty, I know hoe you can get when you're left alone with a girl." Lavi laughed and shut t

It had been less than a week since you made the terrible mistake of going to the Noah's side. They weren't really mean or nasty to you, at least not most of the time anyway. The problem was, they used you, and for everything. Whether it was Road needed help with her homework or a meal that needed to be prepared, they expected you to do it. What upset you the most was the fact that after all of his kind words and reassurances that he in some way or another cared for you, Tyki didn't even attempt to stop what was going on. Because of this, you had tried and failed to leave multiple times. With no hope left, you had barricaded yourself inside of your room and refused to come out. As you lay face down on your bed, you hear a quiet knock at your door. “Go away, I'm not coming out.”
“You've been in there over a day now. Unless you've got the plague, you need to come out.” The voice belonged to Tyki, who sounded complete

Each and every footstep you took caused the old stone floor to shift and creak. You knew the sounds, though deafening in your own ears were really quite quiet and no doubt unheard by all others. Still, your heart skipped a beat, threatening to pound out of your chest each time you proceeded to take another step down the hallway. The most nerve wracking part however, was making it past the gatekeeper. Once that was done however, you knew you were finally in the clear. Still you remained very careful and vigilant until you were well over a mile away from the order. The last thing you wanted right now was to get caught doing what you were about to do. “That was way too scary. I never want to do that ever, ever again.”
“Don't worry, you won't have to.” Though you were expecting him, the sound of his voice still made you jump. “You're still on edge I see.”
You placed your hand on your heart and sighed. “Just a littl

“Man, maybe that old panda was right, this is taking way too long. I'm getting kind of hungry too.” After giving his growling stomach a rub, Lavi signaled you to come up and pick an item. “You know what to do from here, I need to get myself some food.”
As Lavi left you alone to pick out your item, you quickly began digging through the box for something interesting. It might be cheating to look at the items, but you figured you wouldn't know who the item belonged to anyway. Finally after digging around for a few minutes, you held up a small paper sandwich back with half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in it. “This is probably the weirdest thing in that box.”
“Oh, oh, that belongs to me.” Almost falling on his face, Tup ran over to you and snatched the bag from your hand. “That's my lunch for later, but we could split it if you wanted to.”
“That's okay, I'm really not hungry.” You be
